However, in the current criminal litigation system in China, the lawyers right to investigate and collect evidence still has some shortcomings, including limited ways of collecting evidence, difficult joint investigations, and difficult identification of obtained evidence. In response to these issues, this paper intends to start with the role of the lawyers right to investigate and collect evidence in criminal proceedings, analyze the current situation and problems of the lawyers right to investigate and collect evidence in the current criminal proceedings, explore ways and countermeasures to improve the lawyers right to investigate and collect evidence, in order to further improve Chinas criminal litigation system.
