Thisdocumentdiscussesafirmwarebugandhowtoresolveifthelastspeedcommlossfunctionisnotworkingand

neededwiththeFENA-21card.

IfthelastspeedselectionissetupundercommlossonanACxx80driveandtheFENAfirmwareisolderthanver.3.25,

thedrivewillrunatlastspeeduntilcommunicationsisrestored.Atthetimeofthecommunicationsbeingrestored,the

FENAcardwillrebootwhichwillcausethedrivetostop(ifusingABBDrivesprofile).IfODVA,thedrivewillstartslowing

downthenrampbackup.

ThesolutiontothisistoreplacetheFENAcardwithacardwithfirmwarever.3.25orlater.Thisissueisonlyinfirmware

versionsver.3.25orpriorontheFENA-21optioncardanddoesnotexistinFEIP,FMBT,orFPNOoptioncards.

Tocheckthefirmware,checkparameter51.33inthedrive.Inthisexamplebelowthefirmwareisver.3.27.

TheFENA-21optioncardfirmwarecan’tbeupdatedinthefield.PleasecontactTechnicalSupporttohelpaddressthis

issue.
