澳大利亚日AustraliaDay1.26Origin(由来):Since?1788,?January?26?has?been?Australia’s?National?Day,?also?known?as?Australia’s?Independence?Day.?To?celebrate?and?commemorate?the?landing?of?Britain’s?first?fleet?at?Sydney?Harbor?in?1788,?it?also?proclaimed?British?colonial?rule?over?the?East?Coast.?Indigenous?people?in?the?area?prefer?to?call?this?day?Invasion?Day”.

The?British?first?used?Australia?as?a?place?of?exile.?On?January?18,?1788,?a?fleet?of?1,530?people,?led?by?Captain?Philip,?arrived?at?Australia’s?Botanic?Gardens?Bay?,?736?prisoners?were?prisoners.?Eight?days?later,?on?January?26,?1788,?they?officially?established?the?first?British?colony?in?Port?Jackson,?Australia,?which?later?grew?in?population?and?became?Australia’s?largest?city,?Sydney,?in?honor?of?the?then?Home?Secretary?Sydney.

Every?year?on?January?26th,?Australia’s?National?Day,?Australia’s?National?Day,?all?over?Australia?will?be?closed?for?a?day,?and?the?organization?of?very?grand?celebrations.?Melbourne?hosts?and?entertains?in?the?city?centre?every?year.?The?Classic?Car?Association?also?organizes?largescale?classic?car?displays,?attracting?the?interest?of?many?car?enthusiasts.?The?earliest?celebration?on?record?was?held?in?1808,?followed?by?the?first?official?celebration?in?1818?to?celebrate?the?founding?of?New?South?Wales.?Now?every?year?on?this?day?of?national?public?holidays,?states?and?territories?hold?their?own?celebrations,?the?British?Queen?Elizabeth?II?award?ceremony?for?Australia’s?outstanding?talent?is?also?held?on?this?day,?the?Governor?and?the?Prime?Minister?will?also?speak?on?this?day.?State?governors?and?mayors?attend?state-organized?celebrations.?
