Timedraggedonandtheyfinishedtheirdrinks.Heplacedthebillonthetable,accompaniedwithsomecandies.Thegroupplacedtheirnotesonthereceiptandleftsmiling.Whenhereturnedtoclearthetable,hewasastonished.Atipof$3wassittingthere,staringathim,buttheirtotalbillamountedto$100.He’dgoneaboveandbeyondtoservethem.Howcouldtheybesorude?

Laterthatweek,hebattledtobrushofftheawkwardmemories.Hearrivedatworkandexpectedittobelikeanyotherday,buttherewassomethingleftonthedeskforhim,atwohandwrittenletterfromtheteenagerswith$18attached,inwhichtheyexplainedtheywereunawareofhowtotipappropriatelyduetoitbeingtheirfirsttimeinthisbar.Everythingsuddenlymadesense.
