ThisWellControlDrillGuidewillbeusedinconjunctionwiththerig-specificwellcontrolprocedurestoconduct

andassessperformanceduringWellControlDrills.Theobjectiveistoensureallmembersoftherigteam

withwellcontrolresponsibilitiesareawareoftheirspecificresponsibilities,possessanunderstandingof

wellcontrolcommensuratewiththoseresponsibilities,andcanconfidentlyexecutetheirdutieswhenrequired.

Alldrillsshallbecoordinatedwiththeseniorrigcontractorrepresentativeontherig-site,ortheirdelegate.

Thedrillsshallbeselectedbaseduponthecurrentorupcomingoperationtohelptherigteammaintain

situationalawareness.TheresponsetoscenariosandexercisesintheDrillGuideshouldbeappropriatefor

thespecificBU,thespecificrig,andthecurrentorfuturerigoperationbeingassessed.Therigcontractor

shouldconducttheexerciseasrealisticallyaspracticableandparticipantsshouldactuallyexecute

procedureswheneverpossible.Forallexercisesitisimperativethatassessorsandsupervisorsareprepared

topreventunintendedconsequencesthatcouldresultfromactionbytheparticipants.

Rigsneedtohaverig-specificwellcontrolproceduresforrespondingtoidentifiedwellcontrolsituations.Drill

siteandwellsitemanagersarerequiredtoconduct,documentandcommunicateexpectationsandspecific

responsibilitiesassignedtothirdpartypersonnelassociatedwiththesewellcontrolprocedures.Eachof

theseproceduresshallclearlydefinethespecificrolesandresponsibilitiesforallrigcrewandthird-party

personnelinvolvedintheprocedure.RigCrewDrillsshouldincludeallrigcrew,T
