DESCRIPTIONANDOPERATION

Thisisadiﬀerentialareaovercentervalve,whichisapilotassistedreliefwithafreeﬂowcheck.Withthereliefvalvesetataround1.3timesthemaximum

loadinducedpressure,thevalvewillpreventﬂowfromtakingplacebetweenports1and2.Whenpilotpressureisappliedtoport3,thevalvewillmeter

theﬂowfromport1to2,compensatingforanychangeinpilotpressureduetoover-runningorunstableloads.Freeﬂowtakesplacefromport2toport

1throughthecheckportionofthevalve.Thesevalvesareidealinmostapplicationsbringingstability,loadholding,andhosefailureprotectionwhen

thevalveismountedontoorintotheactuator.Thespringchamberisconnectedtothevalveport2soanybackpressurewillincreasethepilotpressure

requiredtokeepthevalveopenandthepressureatwhichthevalvewillopenasareliefvalve.Thisisalsoavailableinadualhousingforbi-directional

control.
