ThisfirmwareupdateappliesonlytoAVIC-Z140BHorAVIC-X940BTsoldintheUnited
StatesandCanada,andwherethesoftwarehasneverbeenupgraded.Installingtheupdate
onotherproductscouldseriouslydamagetheproducts.
Ifyouapplyanysoftwareupgradetoyournavigationsystemafterthisfirmwareupdate,
youneedtoapplyaseparatefirmwareupdatethatisspecificallyintendedforthesoftware
upgradeinstalledontoyournavigationsystem.
Inthismanual,iPhone5andiPodtouch(5thgeneration)willbereferredtoas“iPhonewith
Lightningconnector”.
Functionsenabledbyfirmwareupdate
Updatingthefirmwareofyournavigationsystemresultsinthefollowingchanges:
AdditionalfunctionsandsettingsrelatedtousinganiPhonewithLightningconnectorwillbe
available.
“iPodSettings”isaddedtothe“AVSystemSettings”menu.
Settingvaluesof“AppConnection”changefrom“Wired”to“iPhone”,andfrom“Bluetooth”to
“Others”,respectively.

LightningconnectorviaBluetooth.
