YesterdaymyclassvisitedtheHongKongMuseumofHistory.WelookedatTheHongKongStoryexhibitionthere.AtfirstIdidn’twanttogobecauseI’mnotinterestedinHistory.IusuallyfallasleepwhenmyteachertalksaboutthehistoryofHongKong.Intheendthetripturnedouttobeveryinteresting.

IlearntalotatthePrehistoricHongKonggallery.DidyouknowtherewerehumanslivinginHongKong6,000yearsago?Theymadethingssuchasaxes,cups,bowlsandclothes.Wealsolearntabouthowpeoplebuilthouseswithstone.

MyfavouritepartoftheexhibitionwastheBirthandEarlyGrowthoftheCitygallery.TherewasanoldHongKongstreetscene.ItshowedlifeinHongKonginaround1940.Therewasatailor’sshop,aCantoneseteahouseandapostoffice.Therewasevenatramtoo.Wecouldalsohearits‘ding-ding’sound.Thereweren’tanyMTRtrainsinHongKongin1940.

Ienjoyedourtrip.Ihopetovisitthemuseumagain.
