In practice, most web services cannot be integrated directly into an application-to-be becausethey are incompatible. How to ensure web services compatibleat the behavioral level is an important issue for web servicesintegration and collaboration in a seamless way. Based on theproposed formal model for web service interfaces, thesemantics of composite web service is defined under theassumption of synchronous communications, furthermore, thecondition for detecting behavioral mismatches among multipleweb services is derived, which relies on an abstract notationbased on labeled transition systems.
