  IETF 网络能耗管理标准分析 张静伟* （北京邮电大学网络与交换技术国家重点实验室，北京 100876） 5 10 摘要：随着人们生态环境保护意识的逐渐提高，网络的能耗研究逐渐成为人们关注的重点。 鉴于此，IETF EMAN 工作组制定了一系列的网络能耗管理的标准，基本目标是在提供足够的 性能满足服务级目标的同时，以最小的能量消耗来运营通信网络和设备。本文在跟踪研究此 工作组的能耗管理标准最新进展基础上，分析了网络能耗管理与一般网络管理的区别，对网 络能耗进行监测和控制的需求进行了总结，重点研究了网络能耗管理框架中的两种能耗管理 参考模型以及能耗相关的管理信息库信息模型。通过网络能耗监控框架和信息模型的制定， 使得用户能够以一种统一和一致的方式进行网络和设备的能耗监测，进而发现节能的潜在可 能性，制定节能策略达到节能的目的。 关键词：能耗监测；网络管理；SNMP 中图分类号：TP393 15 Analysis of IETF Network Energy Management Standards Zhang Jingwei (State Key Lab of Network & Switching Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing 100876) 20 25 30 35 40 Abstract: With people's increasing awareness of ecological environment protection，research on energy consumption of networks is gradually drawing people's attention. IETF EMAN working group developed a series of network energy management standards. The basic objective of energy management is operating communication networks and other equipment with a minimal amount of energy. In this paper, based on the latest research status of the network energy management standards in EMAN group, we analyzed the differences between energy management and basic network management functions, and summarized the detailed requirements of network energy monitoring and energy control. To give people a more clear overview of the operation of network energy management, we focused on the two reference models and the information model of energy related management information base. With the unified network management framework and mangement information model, people can carry out consist network energy mangement to investigate the energy saving potential and to implement energy saving policies.
