We prove that the corner of the uniquely strongly clean general ring is uniquely strongly clean. It is also proved that the upper triangular matrix general ring over the commutative uniquely clean general ring is uniquely strongly clean. Finally, we obtain the structure theorem of uniquely strongly clean general rings. Key words: uniquely strongly clean general rings; uniquely clean general rings; upper triangular matrix general rings 0 Introduction An element in a ring R is called uniquely strongly clean if it is uniquely the sum of an idempotent and a unit which commute, and R is called a uniquely strongly clean ring if every element is uniquely strongly clean. Examples include uniquely clean rings [1] and upper triangular matrix rings over commutative uniquely clean rings [2]. Uniquely strongly clean rings were introduced by Chen et al. [2]. In [3], Nicholson and Zhou de?ned the notion of a clean general ring. Moreover, many related studies see [4-7]. In this paper we extend the de?nition of a uniquely strongly clean ring to general rings (with or without unity), and prove extensions of many of the results known for rings. let I be a general ring and let A ? I. If I is uniquely strongly clean, we show that A and eAe are both uniquely strongly clean for e2 = e ∈ I. It is also proved that the upper triangular -1- matrix general ring over the commutative uniquely clean general ring is uniquely strongly clean.
