Shanghai was confronted with a strategic period of industrial adjustment ,as the pressure of resource and environment and the coast increasing persistently. And the diversion of manufacturing industry was a significant part. Thereby it analyzed the necessity and feasibility of the manufacturing industry diversion in Shanghai ,by the way of regional entropy. Meanwhile ,the comparison with data of Anhui ,Jiangxi and Hubei Province was illustrated to demonstrate the comparative advantages of the three regions in taking over the industries from Shanghai and the path of industry diversion. Finally ,it would accelerate the optimiza tion of the regional industry structure ,and benefit the regional economy developments of each other.
