Methods It is exploited from the aspects of theory and practice. The concept of original product design is presented as the core part of industrial design.Here ，the critical factors and practical value of the original product design ，such as the main concept ，researching method ，operating pattern ，applying condition and technique protection are discussed ，and the procedure and practical value of original product design is considered through the actual case as well. Conclusion The basic procedure of research and practicing of original product design is demonstrated through the case of a new separating system for air and dust ，and then it is certified that the original design is the core part of product development ，and it is the key factor of enterpr
