The provisions of Section 16010 apply to this Section. 1.02 DESCRIPTION Complete electrically supervised addressable system, with Manual Fire Alarm Pullstations, Horns, Smoke Detectors, Heat Detectors, Flashing Synchronized Strobe Alarm Lights, Sprinkler Flow and Tamper Devices, Control Panel, and Annunciator Panels. 1.03 REQUIREMENTS Secure permits and approvals of all authorities having jurisdiction prior to installation. Provide a complete, operational, 24 volt, addressable, closed-circuit, electrically supervised, annunciated, general fire alarm and fire detection system meeting the requirements and approval of: A. NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm Code. B. IBC [International Building Code]. C. Americans with Disabilities Act. D. Authorities having jurisdiction. Secure permits and approvals including wiring diagrams of complete system prior to installation. Prior to commencement and after completion of work, notify authorities having jurisdiction. Submit letter of approval for installation before requiring acceptance of system. 1.04 OPERATION 1.04.01 Operation of manual fire alarm pullstation shall: Automatically transmit fire alarm signal to fire department via approved central office. Sound alarm on all horns throughout building; activate flashing lights; actuate floor, zone and device lamp on annunciator panel at lobby; and stop air supply and air return by automatically shutting down all air handling units.
