Those most effective factors to the final separation are also studied expermi entally, such as heating rate, particle size, final pyrolysis temperature, and hold tmi e. The resu lts ind icate that themaxmi um w eight loss rate occurs in a range of 320~ 360 for the FR4 board. A higher heating rate w ill resu lt in h igher initial, finial andm axi mum temperature, and longer process of sign ificantw eight loss. A t the same pyrolysis temperature, the heating rate has little effect on the totalw eight loss. A ccord ing to the expermi ental results and considering energysaving, runn ing, design of the pyrolysis device, and separating the metallic from nonmetallicm aterials in w aste printed circuit board, the optmi al pyrolysis parameters are suggested, .i e. heating rate is 10 /m in, final pyrolysis tem perature is 500 w ith a hold tmi e of 30 m in.
