Kearney team that has been engaged by DeliverCo, a leading French express and parcel delivery company headquartered in Lyon, France. The client is at breakeven and struggling with cost pressures and price erosion in an intensely competitive and rapidly changing market. You have been asked to perform a strategic review, and to recommend how the company can return to profitability and re-establish pre- eminence in the market. The case and exhibits, to follow, will describe the situation and lay the foundation for your recommendation. However, to better understand DeliverCo’s situation, it is essential to obtain additional information through a question and answer session with three key clients (the Interview Simulation Exercise). Your team should meet to develop a solid interview guideline. Use a logical framework and prepare your questions carefully. The interviewee bios, included below, should help guide you on the questions to ask each individual. It is very important to prepare and plan for this interview so that your team is able to ask interviewees for the right information. Random questioning will limit your team’s effectiveness in using the short time allotted for the interview.
