Lesson 5 At the Movies 一、教学内容 movie, snack, actress. 二、教学目标 1、知识方面:能读、写、说出并且听懂下列单词: movie, snack, actress. 2、能力方面:促进学生思维能力的发展,提高学生的语言运用能力。 三、教学重难点 1. movie, snack, actress , scary. 2. Talk about something about watching movies. 四、教具准备 运用多媒体、卡片、实物辅助教学。 五、教学步骤 Step 1: Greetings Step2: Revision Play a game.(看动作,猜单词) A student goes to the front of the room and takes a slip of paper out of a box. That student must try to show, through actions only, what it says on paper. Others guess what the word on the paper is. Review the words of occupations(teacher ,cashier,waiter,waitress, bus driver, singer and actor.) T: Who is your favourite actor? S: _______ is my favourite actor. Step3: New Concepts 1. Show a picture of Cheng Long. T: Who is he? Ss: He is Cheng Long. T: Yes! Cheng Long is my favourite actor. Show a picture of Zhang Manyu T: Do you know who is she ? Ss: She is Zhang Manyu T: Yes. Zhang Manyu is my favourite actress. Actress !Do you know what’s the meaning? Ss :女演员。 Practice the new word: actress. T: Who is your favourite actress? Ss: My favourite actress is _______. 2. T: Where can you see them? Ss maybe answer: TV, book and so on. T: And we can see them in a movie theatre. (Show a picture of movie theatre on the screen).This is a movie theatre. T: What can we do in a movie theatre? S: Watch a movie. Practice the new word: movie. 3. T: I like to watch scary movie. I feel scared at a scary movie. ? Ss try to guess what scary movie is. ? T: Do you feel scared at a scary movie? 4. T: What we should buy first before we go to the movie? Ss: Tickets. T: Anything else? What can we buy? (Something to eat: pop, donuts, cookies, French fries and so on.) They are snacks. Learn the new word: snack Step 4: Use the student book and audiotape. 1. Listen to the audiotape and then read after it. 2. Look at the screen. There are some sentences about the text on the screen, the students should check the sentences right or wrong. If it is wrong, why? (Checking for understanding.)
