The Systematic Improvement in Workshop

Abstract: A useful tool for systematic improvement ofthe production system is illustrated. First, map the
current state of the system using specified legend, then design a desired state of the future, and achieve this
future statewith the implementation of the key technique. By integrating the materialflow and information flow
in the analysis process, it s much easier to calculate the time for no value-adding activities and to find out
the break point in material flow. Wastes in the production system will be exposed. An application case is
provided to illustrate benefits of this tool.
