Jianghan Oil Field No. 1 Drilling Company, Hubei Qianjiang 433124, China ） Abstract: The salinity of wastewater from Jianghan oil field is up to 200 000 mg/L, residual oil in the wastewater reaches 147.1 mg/L ,which causes the difficulty to settle the wastewater in the flocculation section and the phenomenon of flocs floating. In this paper, the cation polyether inverse demulsifier was synthesized through ring-opening polymerization of epichlorohydrin to produce chloro-substituted polyether and then cationization of the chloro-substituted polyether with low molecular monoamine.The inverse demulsifier was applied to remove oil in preliminary stage of treatment process, which offered powerful guarantee for later wastewater treatment.
