聊城大学东昌学院 本科生毕业论文On the Differences Between Chinese and Western Food Culture 专业代码： 050201 作者姓名： 及晓云 学 号： 20100021415 单 位：外国语系2010级英语本科1班 指导教师： 田蕾 2014年 5月26日 摘 要 中西方文化在各个方面都存在着巨大的差异。饮食与文化密切相关，不同的民族有不同的饮食文化。中西饮食都是沿着各自不同的道路发展的，传统的西方文化是一种畜牧文化和海洋文化，中国文化则是一种农耕文化和陆地文化。两种不同的文化反映出了人们生活方式的差异，其中饮食文化是具有代表性的一个方面。本文从饮食方面，通过饮食观念、饮食方式、饮食内容、制作方法、饮食习惯、饮食性质等方面来了解中西方饮食文化的差异。通过对中西饮食文化差异的分析，我们可以更好地了解中西方的文化传统，避免两种文化冲突，从而进一步提高跨文化交际的能力。 关键词：饮食；文化；差异 Abstract There are enormous differences between Chinese and Western culture in various aspects. Food is closely related with culture and different nations have different food cultures. Chinese and Western food developed in their own different ways. The traditional Western culture was a kind of livestock and marine culture, while Chinese culture was a kind of farming and terrestrial culture. The two different cultures reflected the different life styles and the food culture is the most representative aspect. This essay aimed to understand the differences between Chinese and Western food culture through food concept, food pattern, food content, cooking method, eating habit, food nature and so on in terms of food culture. Based on the analysis of the differences between Chinese and Western food cultures, we can comprehend the respective cultural traditions of China and West and avoid the cultural conflict so as to improve the ability of intercultural communication.
