The important parameter for communication is listed .Some examples of program is presented too. This method which has been successfully applied to the machine of spark plug.It is very convenient to control the frequency converter,include starting,changing speed and stoping. Keywords- Modbus comunication; inverter; programmable logic controller ( PLC) Introduction Inverter is widely used in all walks of life . It mainly used in variable speed control of general asynchronous motor.In the industrial site,because the control panel of inverter is simple,it is not convenient to the complex systems.We usually use programmable logic controller to control the inverter.There are many control ways,for example:using PTP(point to point)among of PLC, relay and inverter to control motor;using analog input and output modules of PLC to connect the analog input modules of inverter,and changing the frequency of inverter,then changing the speed of motor;using the communication.this paper describes a control system that using EMERSON EC10 PLC to control Inovance MD320 inverter through Modbus communication.
