A level students can understand teacher well and they are active in my class. B and C level students can understand, but they should be promoted. And a few students can’t listen carefully even are unwilling to. So, when I design the lesson, I should consider the different levels of them. III Teaching objects Knowledge objects: Some useful expression in this passage. Ability objects: Reading and Communicative ability Moral objects: To get the Ss learn how to live a healthy life. IV Teaching focuses and difficulties How to use the useful expressions in the passage freely in the writing. How to use the knowledge they’ve learnt in the extra reading material to help others have a healthy diet . V Teaching time: 40 minutes VI Teaching aids: PPT, computer, and blackboard VII Teaching procedures: Steps Purposes Approach Revision Let students to be more familiar with the daily expression used in restaurant Get some Ss to make dialogues Lead in Revise what food is good for our health and get the Ss to tell whose diet is good. Ask Ss to tell whether the student in the dialogue has healthy diet or not, if necessary , choose some to answer. Reading Skill training By reading the passage, Ss can tell what a healthy diet should be. Get the Ss to read the passage in more practice and show questions on the blackboard: What are the five food groups? Why can a lack of certain kinds of food be dangerous for children? It is dangerous to eat too much of one’s favourite food. Can you give an example? How can we decide what to eat? Self-study Give the Ss time to appreciate the wonderful sentences in the passage, and try learning to use them. Get the Ss to underline the sentences or sentence structures they appreciate and make sentences with
