Abstract:As a major way of communication, spoken English is gaining unprecedented attention in China.Therefore, to change the situation of ‘dumb English’ has been one major task for English teachers. The goal of language teaching has been changed from emphasis on the linguistic structure to communicative competence. In recent years, the improvement of speaking ability has been gradually emphasized in English class, the current situation if far from satisfactory. This thesis analyzed from students and teaching aspect, considering on the interaction in middle school on oral English teaching, and points the suggestions to improve the teaching skills.
