The PC solutions with different concentration were spin coated to fabricate smooth PC films on glass substrate. Both the thermal and optical properties of this PC powder and film were characterized. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of this PC was measured by DSC. The absorption spectrum and thereafter optical loss for the PC films were determined by spectrum analyzer. The films refractive index, thickness, and dn/dt were analyzed by prism coupler. Besides, the influence of the spin coating conditions on the film properties was also investigated. By the characterization, this novel PC material exhibit high Tg and low optical loss,
