Abstract :With the vigorous development of the English language education in China ，the setting of English education as an
undregraduate major has become an urgent need of the development of international society and the English education reform in
China． The construction of English education as an undergraduate program aims at enhancing the level and quality of English
teachers． Its final purpose is to adapt the training mode of “English plus Education ”to the trend of internationalization and the
increasing demand for compound talents． The construction of English education as an undergraduate program requires further
specification of the concept of English education and the target of talent training ，overcoming of the “mismatch ”between Eng-
lish and education ，and conversion of mutual exclusion into mutual promotion． In so doing ，it is expected that a unique orien-
