The feeding movement of CNC machine tool is the direct object of digital control while the final contour and processing accuracy of the processed parts are affected by movement precision , sensitivity and stability. In order to improve the performance of the motion control of NC system, it will be analysed and researched by different points of views. The simulation model is built up by the simulink of MATLAB and the simulation curve lines of reflecting the system performances are acquired. The design makes specific research into the impact of the movement of conventional position control algorithms, feed-forward control of positioning, linear interpolation, circular interpolation. Based on the simulation study and test for several main factors in the feed system and drive mechanism of the CNC machine tools that affect the contour movement accuracy, the typical error distribution curves of the contour movement are given, which are helpful for the adjustment of CNC machine tools. Meanwhile, it gives research on the feed-forward control with simulation and debugging. It is of great importance to improve the accuracy of the feed movement in theoretical study and practical application value.
