A bstract A sen sor modu le for w ireless sen sor ne wt ork s(W SN s) ta rget detection is in trodu ced. Its ha rdw are and
sofwt are design and algorithm are descr ibed. T his design is m a inly composed o f sen so r un it, m icroprocessor un it
and RF comm un ica tion s un it. T he v ibration, sound and temp erature sen sors signa l of externa l targ et are co llected in
the sen so r unit. In the m icroprocessor un it, the data is pre treated in D SP and the signa l feature is obta ined. In RF
comm un ication s unit, the va lu e of the signal feature is tran sferred to PC through W SN s. Exp ermi ents show th at th is
design h as a good stability and reprodu cibility, and can be u sed in a va riety of environm ents to detect targe ts.
