The resu lts ofphysical composition and scann ing electron m icroscope indicated that, the conditioner QS sign ificantly mi proved the ca2 k ing property and dewatering performance ofwaterworks sludge. The results of composting showed that, compos2 ting of the pretreatedwaterworks sludge and litter ( the volume ration was 3B7) with added urea to regulate C/N could be maturity after 27 days. AddingEM agent could speed thematurity of the compost and shorten the com2 posting tmi e to 19 days. The result of pot expermi ent of eucalyptus showed that, the compost of waterworks sludge could increase the water holding capacity of the substrate and promote the growth of eucalyptus.
