Abstract: T h is paper introduced first the basic concepts of rough sets theo ry, inc ud ing rough sets know edge represen tation
m ethods and rough se ts reduct theory. Second it desc ribed the app ica tion of rough sets theo ry and its comb ination w ith other
non- inear theor ies in mi age processing. F ina y, it proposed the basic w ay of using rough sets theory in mi age processing and
ind icated tha t itw ou d produce be tter resu ts by using the com b ina tion of rough se ts theo ry and o ther non- inea r theo ries in
mi age p rocessing.
