Firstly, the supremacy of the language ofthe advanced countries poses a corrosive influence to the language ofthe less advanced nations and endangering threat tothe developing countries. econdly, changes and re2 forms in social customs and habits should be active, gradual, mild and conforming to the demands of time, instead of being passive and im2 posed by foreign powers. Otherwise, national cultural securities will bethreatened. By concept of value security wemean to emphasize the importance of the continuity of thebasic national concept of values, while at the same time recognizing the necessity for national values to keep up with thetime. Finally, reforms in ways of life should be progressive, reasonable and gradual, meetingthe demand oftime and never so rash as to causing social disorders at the same time.
