International Trends of BIM Based on Website Content Analysis

Abstract ：In order to understand the international trends of BIM，the method of website content analysis is employed. 20
BIM-related websites are selected. The contents of the websites are analyzed by word frequency analysis from project types，users ，
technology and tools ，and benefits. Results show (1) BIM technology，tools and software are developing rapidly; (2) BIM application
promotes development of new project management modes ；(3) government is playing a more and more important role in BIM
research and application ；(4) BIM can be used in public project decision making. These results may be helpful in BIM application in
China.
