C mbining pl tting s ftware f c mputer with traditi nal C l r-sp t meth d, a new meth d f r raindr p diameter measuring and data pr cess- ing was pr bed int . The meth d decreased the l wer limit f measurement fr m 10 mm t 02 mm, it enlarged the measure range as 10 times as bef re, and reduced the w rk quantity largely. The c rrelati n f r- mula between raindr p diameter and C l r-pl t diameter was educed, wh se applicability and advantages were tested. Results sh wed that the f rmula w uld be the best when raindr p spectrum was analyzed by impr ved C l r-sp t meth d.
