Abstract: The wave affects the underw ater robot in shallow w ater severely, the second orderw ave drift force has significance on underwater
robot. Under the second order w ave drift force influence the robotw ill produce nonlinear m otion. The force is directly related to its am pli
tude. The research on the smi u lation and calculation of the second order wave was done. From the data about thew ave, the force smi u lation
w as done. The results show the relationship bewt een the wave param eter and thew ave angle. The results lay the foundation for the design of
control system of underw ater robot.
