The 40 m thick sectionswere stained with cresyl viollet and PalWeigert. The histological structure and the cytoarchitecture of the cervical spinal cord laminae were observed. Conclusions: The boundary of Lamina! is in a long arc. Laminae! , ∀, # and ∃ are stacked up one by one, and the majority of cells are oval in shape in all four laminae. Both laminae%and have medial and lateral zones. The border of the lateral zone is reticulated and is mainly populated with large, darkstaining cells. Mediumsized, ovalshaped cells and small triangular cells are major cells in the medial zone of lamina% . Mediumsized and spindleshaped cells predominate the medial zone of lamina .
