Ltd) Abstract Based on the prod ction practice of pipeline steel, the paper deeply analyzes the ca ses of higher yield- tensile ratio of X70 pipeline steel from the aspect of process control and m icrostr ct re. The res lt show s that low start cooling temperat re, com paratively higher finish cooling tem perat re, less hard phase com ponents of acic lar ferrite and bain ite are the m ajor ca ses of the h igher yield- tensile ratio of steel p late. The lath bainite form ed at the fin ish cooling tem perat re [ 430 e w ill sign ificantly mi prove the tensile strength of steel plate, b t not the yield strength. The yield- tensile ratio can be effectively red ced.
