The Million Pound Note is a film based on a novel. It tells the adventure of a handsome man in London, whose birthplace is America. In the first scene, two wealthy English men, Roderick and Oliver, made a bet on how a penniless man could survive with a million pound note which couldnt be changed into cash. Then they saw Henry Adams wandering in the street, who had just gone to American embassy to seek help. There, he thought he would have been treated warmly. But on the contrary, the official showed no patience to him. Hopelessly, he was lost in the street in rags just like Xilige! With a permit to get in, Henry went into that big house and was given an envolope. Then, Henrt told his own story. One day, by accident, he had an accident in a bay. Luckily he was spotted by a ship for London. So he arrived in London by earning his passage as an unpaid hand. Then, to his surprise, unbelievable things happend. With that million pound note, Henry took a chance on his fate in spite of peoples rude manner at first. Dring this period, his genuine character helped him to win peoples respect and a beautys love.
