Step 1. Review and lead in
1.Have a dictation.
2.Leading-in
1).Teacher asks students some
questions about music.
2).Students answer teacher’s
questions and give your own views.
Step 2. learn the new words
1.Use pictures and actions to introduce the words .
2.Students learn to the words with
the help of pictures and teacher.
3.Then use the structure to practice:
Can you/he/she/they play the
guitar/piano/violin ... ?
Yes, I/he/she/they can.
No, I/he/she/they can’t.
Step 3.1a. Drawing
1.Ask the students to draw lines to match the words with the pictures.
2.Check the answers.
Step 4.1b. Listen the tape
1.Students listen to the tape carefully.
2.Students volunteer to present the answer. 3.Teacher gives students right answer.
Step 5.1c Pairwork
1.Ask the students to ask and answer questions about the instruments.
2.Ask some pairs to present their dialogs to the class.
Step 6.1d. Listening
1.Students listen to the tape carefully.
2.Ask the students to listen and circle the words and phrases they hear. Students
volunteer to present the answers.
3.Check the answers.
Step 7. 1e Listening
1.Ask the students to listen again. Then fill in the chart with the words and phrases in 1d.
2.Check the answers.
Step 8. 1f More practice
1.Ask the students to talk about What Bill, Cindy and Frank can and can’t do.
