This lesson lets the students be able to describe the traditions in preparation of Spring Festival and further more, enables the students to introduce and describe other festivals with useful words phrases and sentence structure of this unit. And at the same time, after studying this lesson, the students should know more about our traditional festivals and love our Chinese traditional culture. Part 2 Teaching Objectives Language Objectives: Useful words and phrases: happen, festival, join, quite, make lanterns, get ready for, be at work, put away, hurry up, at this moment Sentence structures: What’s happening help sb. do sth. Present Continuous (interrogative sentence) Ability Objectives: To give a description about festival orally and literally. Moral and cultural objectives: The students should know more about our traditional festivals and love our traditional culture. Part 4 Teaching Methods Seven-Step Teaching Method Communicative Approach Task-based Approach Group work Method Part 5 Teaching Aids: slide, recorder and blackboard They are for showing students some pictures , some audio files ,some Visual files , some topics or reading tasks. Summary I try my best to make my students the master of the class. I let the students work in pairs to study by themselves in order to activate them to study this lesson, and by interacting with the group members they can learn and remember by heart , and can get more different ideas.
