Abstract :In Western Han Dynasty ，the vassal after death would be buried with jade burial suit ，which
reflected the burial idea of protection of dead body and seeking eternal life and becoming fairy. Generally re-
searching ，the jade burial suits of Western Han Dynasty vassals had characteristic of improvement ，and be-
came perfect day by day. Using jade burial suit in Western Han Dynasty had a rigid rule that the vassal of dif-
ferent clan and the vassal of same clan but rebellion could commonly not use jade burial suit. It was different
from previous opinions that the hierarchy of using jade burial suit had gradually established. When the vassal
used the jade burial suit ，other jades would be used ，but basically ，the jade burial suit were important ，oth-
er burial jade were less important.
