No.1 on this slide is describing the standard frame format. The packet of CC-Link consist of flags, addresses, status, data and CRC. The data area is 918bytes reserved. No.2 is the frame from master to slave. Length of frame depends on number of stations connected to network. In case transient communication is done, the frame becomes like this. Message data that is max. 150bytes is simply added. And no.3 is the frame from slave to master. The length depends on number of stations occupied. Again max.34bytes of message data will be added in case transient communication appears. What great on this frame structure is that data rate in the packet is 98% in maximum. In other words, CC-Link packet has less overhead. Since this efficient frame structure, in addition to its high speed, CC-Link should not need selection of protocol. One dedicated protocol is enough. With the CC-Link you do not need to consider combination of several protocol, in order to improve efficiency of networking.
