This paper studied the sub-frame of car. To optimize the design of the sub-frame of car, the finite element analysis was applied to the sub-frame.Through the static analysis, it found that the yield maximum stress is greater than the vice stress of frame material. The result showed that the static strength of sub-frame met the requirements.The rationality of the design of the side frame was verified. The twelve order modal parameters of sub-frame were analyzed. Introduction The sub frame was designed as connecting piece between suspension system and body. The suspension system transmitted the vibration to the sub-frame and then transmitted to the body. It greatly reduced the vibration of the body, so the car became more comfortable. At the same time, because the sub frame stiffness was relatively large, it could improve the maximum stiffness of suspension. It also could improve the strength of the c
