Kids in Control was originally prepared by Janice Stoudnour and Amy Walters Klimas, Penn State Cooperative Extension agents in Bedford and Fulton Counties, and a parent- teacher advisory committee from the Saxton Area Elementary School. Portions of this publication were adapted for use in Pennsylvania from an Oregon State University Extension Service publication, Home Alone and Prepared, EM 8661 (March 1997, 36 pages), which contains materials adapted from University of Georgia, University of Illinois, and Iowa State University Extension publications.
