After a lot of planning, I decided to try to attract（v.吸引） investors（n.投资者） by developing a business plan. I got some advice from my friend Steve who is a very successful entrepreneur（n.企业家,承包商、主办者）. First, he told me I needed to figure out（算出，想出，解决） my business model. How would my investors make money? How long would it take for the company to be in the black?（赚钱） Steve said that the proposal（n.建议，提议） would need to show revenue（n.税收, 收入, 税务局） projections（n.投影, 投射, 规划, 发射, 凸出物, 预测, 放映） for the first five years, and that I should give an estimate（n.估算 v.估计） of gross （adj.总的, 粗鲁的, 公然的, 荒唐的, 令人讨厌的n.总量, 总额vt.总共赚得adv.总共地）sales for that same period（n.一段时间, 周期, 时期, 课时, 学时, 句号）.
