By means of videotape statistics, literature review and logical analysis,the authors have analyzed the statistical data of the competitive ability of the Chinese men, s volleyball team in the 2006 world league competition and their performances during the main competitions in recent years,and have found out their weaknesses in the combined competitive abilities com pared with the world elite teams. Consequently, relative solutions and measures are pro posed.
