Revise the problems they have known and how to solve them. Step2.Presentation Present Sue to the students. Ask the students to read through the Sue’s profile on P54.Write the following on the board. Name: Class: Grade: Subject I like: Subject I don’t like: Write the answers to these questions. Then ask the students to write a short profile about themselves. Step3.Reading practice Read the profile aloud. Try to complete the notes. Step4.Listening practice Play the tape for the students,listen and try to catch the important information to complete the note. Listen again and try to fill in the gaps themselves. Play the tape once more and try to complete the note. Ask the students to read out the answers one by one. Step5. Practice Ask the students to complete the report. Check the answers in groups. Read the report aloud. Learn the important language points. She finds sport dificult for her. This makes her feel bad. Step6.Practice ParB. Play the tape for the students, listen and find out the answer to the question. What’s Millie’s problem? Read through the dialogue. Practise it in pairs. Production Ask the students to share their problems with their parterns and give advice to each other. Step8.Homework Ask the students to collect the sentences on how to talk about problems and how to give advice. 3
