Using the appropriate modified asphalt pavement to prevent and reduce the early damage, reduce maintenance costs, extend service life. With the cost of asphalt on the road to further reduce the use of functional requirements and the improvement of modified asphalt has been more widely used. Polymer modified asphalt is compared to other modifier is a kind of high technological content and added value of new high-quality road construction materials. SBS modified asphalt as a modified asphalt binder, it is the road through the polymer mixed with asphalt, not only can improve the use of its performance, but also significantly prolong the pavement life, reduce noise and improve driving comfort and safety. Therefore, this thesis liquor type SBS modified asphalt to study the subject of great significance. The research methodology is based on SBS, petroleum resin, asphalt, curing agent was used to prepare a mix of several different modified asphalt, modified asphalt liquefied by measuring the temperature, penetration, softening point, ductility index and then compare these indicators with each other, and compared with the asphalt to come to the best mix. The results after the accession to the asphalt modifier, compared with the base asphalt, liquid temperature, softening point, ductility increased, the penetration decreased. The experiment results showed that the modified asphalt performance than the base asphalt is greatly improved. And by several groups to compare the internal modifier, adding modifier can be seen in the same time, adding an appropriate amount of petroleum resin and curing agent, also improved performance on the pitch.
