Textile auxiliaries and intermediates encompass many needs including processing aids such as spinning, lubrication, control of static, scouring, sizing and desizing. Finishing aids include softening, scrooping, stiffening, water repellency, control of static, anti-soiling and sanitizing. Dyeing and printing of textiles require dye solubilizers, retardation and leveling agents, fixing agents, stripping agents, emulsifiers and wetting agents. Other textile auxiliaries include detergents, soil suspension agents and dry cleaning agents. Akzo Nobel Inc. supplies products to meet many of the above uses.
