Establishment 15 years ago, eBay and more than 20 employees from an auction site has grown in strength, to the end of 2008 already has 16,000 employees worldwide. The business expanded from e-commerce to Internet banking, electronic payments field. In order to meet the company development, eBay IT sector has implemented and deployed a series of internal customer support systems. As of the end of fiscal year 2008, eBay IT has a total of 3 sets of internal customer support systems. These systems are at different stages of development in the company were to implement the deployment. The database systems, and the way of data storing are not the same. Meanwhile, these customer support systems are separated from each other in the application and data layers. This has brought a lot of data redundancy, and very difficult to effectively extract from the historical data for supporting effective information needs of IT management decisions. Last year the global economy, especially in the context of change, IT sector was facing unprecedented pressure.
