The pathognomonic 病症特异性的histological feature of rheumatic fever is the myocardial Ashoff nodule. Rheumatic fever can cause pericarditis 心包炎, myocarditis , endocarditis and valvulitis. [card-, cardio-,心,贲门] The most frequently identified valvular lesion during the acute phase is mitral regurgitation. Mitral stenosis may be confined to the valve but frequently also causes distorsion 变形 and stenosis of the subvalvular apparatus.瓣下结构 The aortic lesion is usually combined stenosis and regurgitation. The tricuspid lesion is usually regurgitation and is nearly always associated with mitral and/or aortic valvular disease Rheumatic Heart Disease Chest X-ray demonstrates the features of mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation or tricuspid regurgitation. Radiographic features of both aortic and mitral valve disease suggests a rheumatic aetiology. Likewise同样的, the combination of signs of mitral stenosis and tricuspid regurgitation is nearly always indicative of RHD. Radiographically evident 明显的enlargement of the left atrial appendage 左心耳,附属物 indicates a high likelihood 可能性of RHD . [atrio-心房; appendix阑尾 appendicitis阑尾炎] Rheumatic heart disease Chest radiograph shows right retro-cardiac double density (left atrial enlargement) and prominent left atrial appendage (arrow) causing a bulge on the left cardiac border. Appendage enlargement usually indicates a rh
