This paper used the life cycle product theory, inventory management method, analyzing the short life cycle product inventory problem , main work as follows： At first, analyzing the characteristics of short life cycle product and its inventory, find out the two big problems of the short life cycle product inventory control which to solve immediately: the demand forecast and the inventory optimization of short life cycle product. And then, analyzing the demand forecast process of short life cycle product, according to the existing problems, using VMI (vendor management inventory) method, build the short life cycle product system based on VMI; according to the inventory problems of short life cycle product, using Joint inventory control thoughts, puts forward a short life cycle product inventory strategy and use dynamic buffer model built by TOC to solve the problem of short life cycle product inventory information sharing. At last, in a typical short life cycle products-eye drops for example, from the demand forecast to inventory control strategies to optimize inventory conduct simple application.
